Should chiropractic adjustments be avoided?
I was diagnosed with and ascending aortic aneurysm 4.2 over a year ago. It has since grown to 4.5. I’ve also been diagnosed with A-fib. Like so many others, I’m scared and have a ton of questions. For starters, is having a chiropractic adjustment is advisable? When I told my chiropractor about my aneurysm, he said he didn’t know if he should adjust me.
My other main concern is knowing when to back off during exercise. I love to go bike riding usually 10-50 miles sometimes more. However, I can see an e-bike in my future due to difficulty breathing and increased heart rate. My cardiologist has told me to push through it and continue riding. What is a good heart rate to maintain while exercising?
Thanks for comments and best wishes to you all!

Thanks! Glad you’ve made it to the other side. I feel like I’m in a holding pattern.
In my particular situation before surgery it could have been bad. It turns out that even though though root was at 4.8cm and ascending aorta 4.7cm, the root tissue was friable i.e. fragile.
That it's fragile makes sense! Mine grew from 4.9 x 5.1 to 5.1 x 5.7 in a year - why my surgeon/cardiologist wanted to schedule surgery ASAP.
I asked my chiropractic doctor about the risks of chiropractic adjustment causing or contributing to aortic disection and he told me that as far as he was aware, no chiropractor had ever cause an aortic aneurysm to dissect. I cannot verify if this is true or not but I could not find any instance of it on multiple Google searches.
I DID find these bits of information that I thought may be relevant & of interest to this discussion:

I'm sure there are other research articles & information on the internet to be found. I would recommend careful discussion with your doctor, chiroprator, and consideration on your part as to whether you do or do not have chiropratic adjustment. That is what I did. My PCP & chiropractic doctor both were supportive of adjustments for my back issues. Mine are pretty severe and painful if I do NOT periodically get adjusted. You will have to make your own decision.
I appreciate the response and additional information. Thanks!
