Tymlos causing belly fat?
I’m on Tymlos for about 2 1/2 months now. I’m not usually concerned about my weight. I stay pretty stable. I’ve noticed that my belly seems to be getting fatter. Has anyone experienced this belly fat situation from Tymlos? Is there anything I can do about it? Why is it happening? Thanks for any input.

Radius pharmacy should know because they have documented it in the men. It is a known side effect. But someone wrote that it goes away after stopping. I asked for a scientist liaison to be assigned as a radius told me I could m. We shall see! I’ll ask!
Don't be so sure increased protein would have prevented your osteo. I consumed well over the recommended protein amount (and plenty of dairy plus calcium/Vita D) daily for decades, along with a ton of weight training and other weight bearing exercise. Did not matter - still was diagnosed with osteoporosis. If you're 50+, it's often from estrogen loss post -menapause or genetic or both.
After reading all of the comments regarding belly fat, I am now convinced that Tymlos is the cause of my new belly fat. I have never had a big belly and I don't like it, but as many of you have said, I will "hang in there" for the full 2 years because it is working for me also.
Male here... yes, I've noticed it. My diet is pretty stable, and I exercise. I got out the blue jeans the other day, now that the weather is cooling, and I had trouble buttoning them. I was shocked. It's not a crazy amount, but it's there.
Mine just got puffy. Fractures make my belly stick out a lot more than Tymlos did!
Right? Brava!
I completed my 2 yrs of Tymlos in late July. I have put on 2 lbs since then around belly. I feel that I have more fat above the belly button and below the sternum.
Anybody who has completed Tymlos regime experiencing disconfort arounf the ball-and socket joint of the hip. After walking about 40 minutes I notice the discomfort.
Thanks

Same here! Prior to starting Tymlos about four months ago, I was not my usual weight—with more belly fat than I have ever had (it’s been a rough five years). But now, oh my. It’s like I have two stomachs. One above the belly button line (my “new “ one), and a separate one below (my original roll)..Very odd and challenging! (And of course told not to do sit ups, no crash dieting, etc) But, I still consider the med a huge blessing that I am grateful for every day and will continue without hesitation! So I am concentrating on being healthy and doing what I can and just not fretting over the rest!
My impression was that the puffiness of my belly on Tymlos was not fat. But my tummy sticks out permanently from fractures and the Tymlos effect is, in my experience, temporary!
