Started Repatha - Side Effects
I had terrible side effects with statins (any statin, any dosage). For about 30 years my doctors have pushed statins and
I have resisted. Finally I agreed to Repatha. The first week I had zero side effects. With my second dose, 2 weeks in, i woke up and my joints and muscles hurt a LOT.
1. Does this side effect go away?
2. What do you know about the recent information that the Repatha trials underreporting deaths from cardiac events while taking Repatha.

I didn’t have gastric issues or breathing issues, just fatigue, extreme back and kidney, joint and muscle pain. Which is better for your heart, lower numbers or being active and happy and not in chronic pain?
I will get a one time occasion, one week, following the injection of loose stools and tiny bit of cramping. However, when I compare that side effect, which is hardly anything to the statins that I had tried, I consider myself lucky.
Doan’s Back aches pill and it’s gone. It is so worth taking this medication to get the LDL down!
Thank you.
It scares me to take a medication to cover side effects of another medication, anyway, even if the Doan’s relieved my severe low back pain, I still had severe joint and muscle pain all over , muscle waste, fatigue and loss of balance. I’m getting it all back since I’ve been off of Repatha. I wouldn’t stop a medication and continue an unhealthy lifestyle, but I am living a healthy lifestyle, I feel good and if I die of a heart attack at least I won’t die bed ridden by Repatha. Not everyone has the side effects that I have. If I didn’t have the side effects I would stay on it. But, my side effects were too severe, so I’m opting for organic, fresh Whole Foods, keeping my weight down, doing yoga, walking 8,000 and more steps a day, staying very active and sleeping. I actually love my lifestyle. It’s not for everyone.
Hello new to this group. I’ve been taking Repatha for over a year after resisting to statins for their side effects. I’ve had back pain 2 days after the injection, which sometimes last one or two days. Nothing terrible compared to statins muscle cramps. But now suddenly my blood pressure is really high, all of the sudden, without any other changes in diet or medication. Has anyone experienced something similar?? Thanks for sharing your experience.
My back pain, fatigue and joint and muscle pain were so bad I had to quit Repatha. Cannot take statins either. So, I’m on nothing. I exercise and eat fresh clean foods. I am going to get a cholesterol reading then start CoQ10 and do another reading in about 6 months. Last time I took CoQ10 I had to stop it also because of how it made me feel, but I’m going to try it again.
when was repatha first prescriber
