Biopsy confirmed: I have squamous cell carcinoma

@ahappymomoffive, how are you doing? Have you and your doctor discussed a treatment plan?

I have had many basil cells removed from my left arm.
I now have SCC on my legs.
I have had several Mohs surgeries, and they keep popping up!
Because of so many "new" spots on my leg, dermatologist decided it was time for my Oncologist.
I am now getting infusions every 3 weeks of immunotherapy, Cemiplimab-rwlc IV.
No side effects, I had my 3rd infusion this past Wednesday.
I currently have 3 open wounds on my legs, they are most painful!

Same here for way too many assorted skin cancers. Melanomas, basal & squamous. I can't even count them all. The last one, a facial Mohs surgery was the worst!
I wish my dermatologist would at least suggest a new method or even an idea for me, but he hasn't. (He's the only one around, & I can't travel that far for a new one)

So what are the options to Mohs surgery on your nose?

I just reviewed my recent biopsy report. Squamous Cell Carcinoma located on left shoulder. I tried to see Derm but couldn’t get appt until March so went to my PC and she removed lesion for biopsy. Thank God she was proactive. Hopefully will speak with Dr soon.

@lips702, have you had a consult with a wound nurse or wound care team? I wonder if they may have some tips to help with the open wounds and pain.

I had my annual skin check up with dermatologist in March. Late fall I had a skin tag/lesion that was getting snagged with bra strap and seams. In November during a vacation the shoulder lesion hurt and became raised and changed appearance. Felt best to have checked

Squamous and basal cell carcinomas are very common. Most are caused by the sun's radiation, but some can have other causes.

Most are slow growing and very treatable with great outcomes. I have had about a dozen basal cells and one squamous cell skin cancer. As a teenager and young man how, sun burn you got was how much fun you were getting in south Florida.

Now paying for that foolishness but back then it was tan, tan, tan,
Just know that skin cancers are quite common. The bad one is melanoma. The others are very treatable with many options for treatments.

I have not seen a wound specialist. I have had so many Mohs surgeries on my shins (lower leg) that I just keep them clean, aquaphor and cover them.
The usual healing time is 6-8 weeks!
Have gabapentin if necessary, but I prefer Tylenol.
