Survey: nebulizers and compressor systems speed, etc.
A recent p.m. from another member about my nebulizer compressor recommendation, esp speed. I am very new to nebbing (18 months) compared to others and think a survey might be beneficial to compare our common uses-albuterol and NS.
1. Which compressor and nebulizer brand (mouth piece) do you use?
2. How long does it take you to nebulize albuterol?
3. How long does it take you to nebulize normal saline? Do you use 4ml (CVS or other) or 5ml (Amazon or other).
4. Misc pros or cons of your neb or your compressor?

The Vios is problematic but the ProNeb Max is great
Thanks Irenea. That is good to know. I seem to remember in your past note, you mentioned that Max is very strong, how long would it take you to finish each 4ml saline?

About 10 to 15 minutes if the cups are working without issue.
Ah, my Ombra takes me about 1o minutes or less.
BTW: I have been boiling the nebulizer every other day since I use two sets like you are doing. How do you rinse it after soaking in detergent?

I just use our tap water but we have a whole home water filter system. Then I usually do a final rinse in water from the LifeStraw Pitcher (but not always). I make sure everything is super dry before using it again.

I use LC sprint.

1. Which compressor and nebulizer brand (mouth piece) do you use? DeVilbiss Traveler (Runs off electric or rechargeable battery)
2. How long does it take you to nebulize albuterol? Not using Albuterol
3. How long does it take you to nebulize normal saline? Do you use 4ml (CVS or other) or 5ml (Amazon or other). I purchase 5 ml vials from Base Labs and use 1/2 vial each time (I keep unused portion in an empty prescription bottle to use the following day). Takes about 15 minutes for 1/2 vial
4. Misc pros or cons of your neb or your compressor? Size is convenient if we travel and I like the rechargeable battery since we live in Florida and experience power outages with all the recent hurricanes. It is loud but still quieter than the one my insurance covered.
