I too am worried about the heat. When I get too hot now, which is quite regularly, I get nausea every time now. I am so worried about it-I went out the other day and it was about 80 degrees and had some errands to do and I got sick just like that. I got some throw up bags from the dr to keep in the car in case I get nauseated while.
I went to Sports Academy and got those cooling towels for the summer hoping that will help me.
YES. Often more cold than hot - shivering cold. It's an annoying and incredibly uncomfortable condition. It does tho' alternate w/ being very hot - just not as often as cold. And it didn't exist in my body before COVID + in March 2023.
Autonomic nervous system testing was all negative. I contracted COVID since the testing, and the overheating is now worse ..... previously mainly during sleep, and now occurs throughout the day. My Gyn suggested a med for night sweats (non-hormonal) but it is cost prohibitive. Hopefully she will have other options.
From what I have read and looked into, the covid affects your temperature regulation , something to do with the hippolatomus inside the brain but of course nothing shows up on the MRI.
I have it so bad sometimes, that I throw up and feel like I am going to spontaneously combust.
And no! its not menopause heat flashes.
I normally would have no temp problems but now can’t go out in above 20c or feel ill but my main problem is PURPLE feet and lower legs which remain ice cold even in warmth. In summer still bed socks and hot water bottle. Get episodes of feeling faint on getting up.
Count me in on this. If my HVAC system was a human, it would think I was crazy. Especially, in the morning to up early, I am freezing. I work from home (thank goodness with this). Yesterday morning I had the heating pad on my lap and the heat cranked to 75 degrees.
Since having covid, I am not able to tolerate temperatures over 75 F (24 C) especially with any type of exercise. Trying to do yard work can leave me drenched in sweat, and needing to lie down with ice packs on my belly to catch my breath. At the same time, I can swim for a mile quite comfortably in a cold water pool. Any idea what is going on?
I’ve had trouble as well but instead of being hot, I’m cold. I was always an over- heater but now my thermostat works opposite from everyone else. When everyone is perspiring, I’m shivering. It must be caused by the dysautonomia I was dxd with. Your problem is probably due to same. I wish I could tell you it got better, but it hasn’t. My first bout of Covid was 2/22, then another bout 2/23 and 2/24. I am really sorry you’re experiencing the heat. The cold is much easier to live with, I think. Best to you.
I’m unable to tolerate heat—hot showers, warm room etc. had to cancel a trip because hotel room warm and stuffy and developed tachycardia, nausea, feeling faint so did not feel well enough to get on flight.
