Anyone on Hydralazine?
I have very high BP that has been difficult to control. My BP has recently been better after adding hydralazine to my meds (still
not great). However, I’ve read that it may not be great for those with a thoracic aortic aneurysm. Has anyone else been on it that can share their experience? Should I raise this as a concern with my doctor?

Hello @okred, I'd like to invite @gardeningjunkie, @jmb73, @zekester, @howardswann and @wiseowl to this discussion as they have all mentioned taking hydralazine on Connect for High Blood Pressure and may be able to share some experiences with you.
@okred, have you been diagnosed with an aortic aneurysm? Have you discussed your findings and concerns about possible contraindications with your provider?
Hi Justin,
I don't remember being on that medicine and currently I am on metoprolol. I do have AFIB, PACs and PVCS but no aortic aneurysms.
Have a good day.
I have been diagnosed with an ascending aortic aneurysm. I saw a cardiologist specializing in rhythm problems for the first time late last week and shared the research I had found. Thankfully, he changed that med to another. However, my BP is higher on the new med.
I am 96 have congestive heart failure and take hydrolozine 25mg as a controller for h/b. I am able to control b/p by monitoring. One to five a day- usually 3 a day.
Also take metaprolol, spironolactone and losartin
