Body vibrations when falling asleep or waking?
After many google searches for the reason I feel vibration in my head, shoulder and arm just before falling asleep and waking, I found nothing that satisfactorily explained it. Of course anxiety seems to be a common explanation but there was nothing specific enough to help me. I am currently reading Incognito by David Eagleman. It discusses the functioning of the brain as an organ. This morning, going through my routine to get ready for work, I thought of a way to understand the vibrations. Similar to the hypnic jerks we experience occasionally just before we fall asleep, I think the vibrations are intended to arouse me to stay vigilant. Which is the fight or flight mechanism in action. So there is the anxiety connection. Originating in the amygdala. I was thinking Parkinson's or MS but my symptoms don't indicate those conditions, thankfully. It seems counterintuitive to be anxious and sleeping at the same time but the brain can do that. The cerebral cortex sleeps but the life support systems of the brain must stay online, obviously. If you thought you were in danger, sleeping would put you at risk but at some point sleep becomes absolutely necessary. I think the vibrations I have been experiencing are caused by my sympathetic nervous system and not a neurologic disease. Thankfully !

I think better here serious make active all people i went to many doctors.I have Phd of computer science. I become more sick when i studied more.I went to my friend doctor he said Acid Reflux moving in Esophagus and reach to the Lung and this vibration because of Lung when you stand up totally will go.I think better you take one notebook and list all food and what ever you eat this is also make everything clear.to be honest i did this again is not useful 🙂
I need to know whether you are using Aspirin or fatty blood ? Did you test your heart by CT angio to see any heart vessel is closed. ECG and EKG and Holter is not enough because my heart three vesel 30% is closed. but this vibration is left chest in up close to the bone.I really too much research i become tired. No one can answer me.now i come here i become happy find people have same issue.I should understand really whats common between all of us.then we can understand problem easy. Kindly George
I take meds for acid reflux and I've have all the heart tests. Everything is fine.
I think one of the reason is Reflux.Still i have this issue around one year.this is affect all of my works.Sometimes is very much and sometimes is not
This is very good you meantioned you dont have any heart disease ? did you check CT Angio ? to check heart and brain all vein are open and its not closed ?
God bless you

So I'm experiencing the same vibrations. Low pulling and ill be fully awake for about 5 minutes and swear the bed is shaking a tiny bit. It's a super low pulse. I however have NOT Had any covid vaccines. I was put under anesthesia about a month ago and that's when it started. I also found out I have cancer so I been super stressed. Idk if the two go hand in hand. I've been keeping my mind busy though and last night wad a great night a work and came home and drank chamomile tea, also drank coffee during the work shift, wondering If mixing those two caused it to act up again. It's not every night so I'm super confused. I'm about to go under anesthesia again to get surgery to remove the cancer but I'm worried this is a significant problem and wondering if anyone can reassure me I'll be okay or have had the same symptoms and went under anesthesia and is okay sense I'll be under for about 3 hours...
Hi did you find whats reason this is happened for you ?
I have same situation as you i dont know how to solve. When i sleep this vibration coming in left chest and move to my neck and head when i wake up and walking will dissolve. Thanks,George
Has anyone linked it to EMF( electric magnetic fields)?
Of EHS(electro hypersensitivity), which can be environmentally isolated
If your body now has been activated to only handle no frequency or energy around the body or room prior to falling asleep.
I vibrate for over 10 years but I can’t afford a **BUILDING BIOLOGY ** to determine the mG if more than 4.0 can be harmful to the body biology and target your weakest organ.
USA doctors are less knowledgeable than UK.
EHS suffers fall under ICD medical code of Radiation Illness. #research and combine some of the acronyms I mentioned.
Web site ACADEMIA has many doctors & studies pertaining to such illnesses.

Mine are early morning upon awakening. Cortisol levels are always highest around 5 AM. I saw heart doctor and finally discovered via a CT of heart, a 2 week heart monitor, and sonogram, stress test, and EKG. I have a rare SVT of the heart . The cardiologist's diagnosis: "Rhythm : Sinus Ectopy : APCs, PVCs, short run of SVT Sustained arrhythmias."
To calm vibrations/tremors/palpitations/flutters down, I stopped all caffeine. And when it still continued I stopped melatonin at night. I had the tremors this morning but they were less noticeable. I've been doing very deep breathing many times a day because I've been unaware of holding my breath. (anxiety) There was a lot of testing and evaluation by the doctor to come to this conclusion.
