Anyone had experience with OsteoStrong, who is not a franchisee?
Has anyone had experience with OsteoStrong? It suggests you will get a large increase in bone density while using their facility 10 minutes per WEEK. Somewhat pricey at $99 and up per month, but am curious if anyone who is NOT a franchisee, has experienced this program?

1 ReactionThank you for sharing. I'm 53 and was recently diagnosed with osteoporosis, and I'm currently trying to navigate what I should do. There's been a lot of ideas and advise. I wonder which vibration plate is working for you.
I started Osteostrong in Dec. 2023. I had a Dexa in May 2023 and it said my lumbar was -3.4 and hip was -1.6. I was very surprised at this. I am active and healthy. Anyway, I did not want to do the meds. So, after researching a lot ( I am a scientist by profession, so I like to look at the numbers!), I have been consistently been taking Calicum, vit k, vit d and boron. I was trying to increase the weight on my bones with weight vest and running a little, sometimes doing hops etc. Then I found Osteostrong luckily in my area. Also lucky was that they took our OnePass gym benefit from our heatlh insurance. Anyway, I have been doing it every week since then. They now have a Echolight device that a professional runs that is standard in Europe for bone density as it is more sensitive and extensive. I had that done a couple of weeks ago ($157) and with that, my lumbar was -2.0 and my hip was -1.8, my bone fragility is normal. It's hard to tell if it's the difference in the testing types, or the osteogenic loading or both. I will have another Dexa in a year, so that will be interesting. betterbones.com/bone-health-basics/will-the-new-ultrasound-device-replace-dexa-bone-density-testing/

2 ReactionsI think you chose very well and wish you well.
May I ask how old you are and whether you are post menopausal or have had a hysterectomy. I ask because loss of estrogen production is a major factor in osteoporosis.
I had a dexa scan 6 months into the program and my numbers were very good. They were surprised at how good they were. I do a lot of exercising out of the program. I recently had an Echolight scan and will have another in 6 months but with Echolight I have nothing to compare it to. I’ve read that Echolight is a lot more accurate than dexa. Also, I agree with others that itis expensive and I sure hope it’s worth the money for my osteoporosis!
I was diagnosed with osteoporosis and a T-score of -2.9. My rheumatologist recommended Prolea. Being reluctant to go down that road I began an osteostrong program and AlgaeCal supplements. I will admit I was extremely skeptical because it did seem to good to be true, but I felt I had to do something. After 1 year, I redid my dexa which is now -2.6. While I can’t tell you which, or whether both, have contributed to the improvement, I will say my Dr. is extremely impressed and told me to keep doing what I’m doing. For what it’s worth, he believes the osteostrong was most beneficial.

1 ReactionThank you for that information, but did you start out with ‘severe’ osteoporosis, or just say, osteopenia or minor numbers? I ask because I’m finding that people I’ve seen advertised or have spoken to who are in the program, who state they’ve had good results with OsteoStrong, are *not* people who have severe osteoporosis. That was an issue with their promotion. They don’t show proof of efficacy by revealing actual DEXA scores, of people in *their* program. The benefits noted when I was there, were not actually associated with their specific program.
I’ve been doing osteostrong for 3 months now, can’t sleep on my back anymore. Just now wondering if it’s the one machine where you press against your back. What happened to your back pain?
I started osteostrong and after 9 session fractured T7
I cancelled and am sorry I ever started- price is high and my experience was sub-par
Never got person I asked for, time was changed, and had problems with with arm - hand and
shoulder pain I attributed to something else.
After spending all that money I am in worse shape than I was to begin with
