Anyone had experience with OsteoStrong, who is not a franchisee?

Has anyone had experience with OsteoStrong? It suggests you will get a large increase in bone density while using their facility 10 minutes per WEEK. Somewhat pricey at $99 and up per month, but am curious if anyone who is NOT a franchisee, has experienced this program?

Wow! I’m sorry to hear that, and a little worried. I’ve been doing Osteostrong for 6 months now and my bone density improved so I am now scheduled for surgery. ( I also did Reclast infusion and the calcium supplements.) I felt stronger and was doing well, until about 3 weeks ago when everything started to hurt-shoulders, arms, hands. I wonder if that has been caused by the machines???

I don’t know -but it did not work for me.

I had problem with first machine and last but probably should have not tried so hard.

I tried very hard too.

I had my first session Wednesday of this week and I really feel 100% better. I have an inherited DDD with the rounded upper back and I am sitting up straighter and can breathe better! My left hip doesn't bother me as much as it used to when I would get the trash can from the road to bring to the house. I usually would have to have a cane with me to make it all the way there and back. I really am delighted with Osteostrong. You can have a trial visit to see if it is for you. They spend about an hour with you and get your medical history, drugs, complaints then ease you through the 4 machines. It takes some grit to pull or push isometrically but it's fun to watch that needle keep going to the right. I'm a 68 year old female with Leukocytosis among other things and I really feel so much better. I'm signed up for a monthly round which can be 4 or 5 sessions. Call them and ask for a trial visit. See for yourself. Wish this were available 20 years ago!

It has been near 5 years later. What are your thoughts on Osteostrong now?
They're opening a new franchise in my area and I'm taking it into consideration.
Although it would take a big chunk out of my fixed income, it would be worth it to me if it works.

Thank you -- my bone doc says power plate could be too strong, could cause fractures. That's why I went for the VibrantHealth BC; it's supposedly LIV and not likely to cause fractures. it's so aggravating that the research on anything but pharmaceuticals is so sketchy!

Thanks. Did your doctor given any studies/evidence the Power Plate could cause fractures? I have heard that but not seeing that it is evidenced...

I did not ask for evidence in my few minutes appointment. but it makes sense to me. I've fractured 3 lumbar vertebra already, 2 from mere coughing. So he didn't need to convince me. I use a LIV from BC Vibrant Health called Ulimate Vibe. I have not had a DEXA since I started using it.

I’ve been going for almost 2 years. My bone density numbers got better after the first 6 months and I need to get another test. BUT, there is no question that I am so much stronger since joining. Where I go in Ft Myers Fl we do a lot of balancing exercises too.
About a year ago I bought a vibration plate and try to use it daily. Good luck to you!

Thank you for your response. Glad to hear of your good results. I am trying it to see if it works for me also.
