Living with LPSVS (long post-COVID vaccination syndrome)

Posted by sandtoes @sandtoes, Jan 11 10:17am

Has anyone experienced long-covid symptoms from the vaccines. I have been searching for 10 months now for the cause of my severe fatigue. I have been sent to an ENT, a cardiologist, a hematologist and undergone so many tests/scans. My doc told me a few days ago that he is stumped. No idea. Come back in a month. I pace myself to get through a day. Is this LPCVS? Is there something to do besides pace oneself? Should I ever get another covid vaccine?

Yes!It is awful.I broke down crying to one of my Family members today. It is so hard.It is literally like being trapped in a body that does not work.I don't understand how in the world we got it so bad.Now that the weather is nice it is even more difficult.Everyone is running on the Bike trail and having Fun and headed to the Beach.I am pretty sure I picked up the Hell virus from the Beach.

I know just how you feel. I see the garden waking up, and the flowers blooming, but instead of enjoying spring, I feel sad. It is all passing me by. I know I should appreciate what I still can, but it’s so hard when you remember how life was before this nightmare.

Yes!It is just awful.I know everyone has their opinion, but have you taken another vaccine?I only had the initial Pfizer a year before I got the Hell virus.I have had several specialists say they have had patients improve after another vaccine.I have lost all sensation in the trunk of my body and I know it was brought on by this because no Doctor has seen anything like it.All my MRI's come back clear yet I can barely walk and look like a 100 year old woman.I just know the virus is still hanging out in my body.I know it is a Gamble, but I am thinking about getting another Pfizer.

I'm sad to read that there are so many others like me that are having health problems following the mRNA vaccines. I'm shocked that some of you actually had a doctor admit that the mRNA vaccines could the cause of our woes. The ones that I've seen defend that the mRNA vaccines are safe and effective like their medical licenses depend on it... and I've seen a lot of doctors. The only reason why I even learned of LPCVS was from an article that was forwarded to me on a study being done by Yale New Haven Hospital.

My journey down the yellow brick road of the happiness of LPCVS started in May of 2021. I was active-duty armed forces with 18 years under my belt when the order came from the top that all personnel would be vaccinated or discharged if they refused. I wasn't about to risk my pension and decided to roll the dice. Unfortunately, lady luck wasn't on my side.

I got the Pfizer vaccine, and every day for the past three years has been an exercise in misery. I suffer from horrible gas, abdominal bloating (causing chest pain, and heart attack symptoms), brain fog, dizzy spells, changes in eyesight, various body parts going numb or weak, chronic diarrhea and a burning smell only in my right nostril.

My beloved service didn't do me any favors or even bump me up to the front of the line. Nope, I had to wait months for the backlog of COVID Lockdown appointments to clear. The first three gastro doctors took one look at me and sent me directly to the Emergency Room. Where the ER doctors told me that I wasn't going to die within the next 24 hours due to bad gas... and told me to follow up with my PCM. Rinse, wash and repeat. I think my personal favorite was one chucklehead at medical that told me not to worry because the VA was going to take care of me. It only took 18 months for the VA to give me my rating and permission to use VA medical care.

Over the last three years, I've seen 7 different doctors... and been shot up with so much radiation that I should have developed superpowers. Yeah, I was quite disappointed on that one. Marvel Studios lied to us.

The common diagnosis that I've been getting is severe "functional" dyspepsia. I have issue with the functional part as when I'm in the throes of an epic attack I am anything but functional. The attacks happen 24 hours a day every day... the only difference being the severity. I currently work from home as a contractor, so I have a very flexible schedule... but I'm forced to work around my severe bouts and work really weird hours. I no longer can drive long distances because losing eye focus or sudden onset of dizziness isn't a good thing at 60 mph. I also don't like to travel far from my house for any longer than 10 minutes because I get anxious about when my severe symptoms will come back.

I'm currently working with the VA because I don't trust the Military Treatment Facilities that I'm forced into as a retiree... and if one more direct commission military doctor fresh out of school tries to tell me that the COVID vaccine can't do what I'm suffering from... let's just say that they might get a severe dressing down from this salty retired service member.

I've tried to bring up LPCVS with my doctors but the majority of them are either ignorant of the ongoing studies or look at me with an expression of: "Which one of us in this room is the doctor?" Other than the fact that some of y'all must have some doctors that not only care, but also listen... has anyone successfully turned one of these LPCVS deniers and if so, how did you do it? Did you have compromising pictures? Was Uncle Guido in the room with his wiffleball bat of persuasion? If yes, is Uncle Guido available for hire?

Thanks,

The Milwaukke Public doctor in charge of vaccines stopped mine at #1 as it set me on fire. My nerves. So in remission I have MS symptoms. Out of remission I am immflamed amd need a pred pack to stop it.

I read your post on your fatigue and wonder if you’ve had your Thyroid levels checked? I was feeling the way you are now after I had 18” of my colon removed due to severe diverticulitis. To my and my doctors surprise, I have Hashimoto’s and hypothyroidism which can cause extreme fatigue. Ask your doctor to run a blood panel on your Thyroid and have your TSH, T3-Free, T4-Free and your Thyroid Antibodies checked. I won’t be surprised if this is why you’re so tired. I wish you luck and if you can, let me know how your blood test came out.

I hear you!! I have had the same symptoms you have for the past four years. I also had vaccines but they were moderna, however I'm not sure if I got long term covid from the vaccines or from my initial bout of the Delta Covid virus. I got Covid before the vaccines were even available to the public. I can identify with your symptoms especially the dizziness and losing vision focus.
I have been reluctant to travel as well because of this. My symptoms like yours come and go, sometimes I can have a week or two before they come back and during these periods I try to take advantage of this time to get things done. I have had the same kind of experiences with doctors but fortunately found a PC that at least listens although there is little he can do to treat the symptoms. When I am having symptoms the only thing that brings me some relief is Tylenol. I have learned to pace myself as far as physical exertion is concerned becaues it tends to bring on the symptoms sooner. My life has changed because I was a very active person and enjoyed sports like tennis and hiking, I can no longer play tennis and my walks are relatively short one. I have had numerous test to try and identify what is going on but all come back normal. All of this has been very frustrating and somtimes depressing. All I can say is " hang in there". I am hopeful that research with find some kind of treatment in the future. Good luck to you, thank you for your service, from anothe veteran.

Yes, my Long COVID began shortly after my first Moderna booster in November '21. A much longer story, but the short version is that I worked my way through every local Specialist and all the tests they could throw at me, finally going to Mayo Rochester LC program in August '23. When I asked several Mayo medical professionals if was wrong attributing LC to the booster, their response was consistently "we have heard that from many others". My only positive test for COVID was July '23 and it was a mild 'head cold' like case.

On several Doctor's advice I will not take the vaccine again. The Mayo program is very good and with nearly 5 months of executing their plan I feel better, not 100%, but at least better.

They wont see me at mayo what was their plan?
