I have HCM and had alcohol septal ablation. I've had sudden cardiac arrest and I now have an ICD.
I am short of breath as well as experience chest pressures and pain.

I do not have coronary artery disease and nitroglycerin does not relieve the chest pain.
I have obstructive OHCM and when I had chest pain too. Since I started taking 5 mpg Camzyos there is no chest pain anymore. Nitroglycerin will be bad for me said my Cardiologist due to my OHCM
HCM Obstructive with cardiac arrest and icd. Definitely have chest pain often especially at night from the thickening of the septum and difficulty in the heart pumping. They don’t suggest nitro which I’ve had at ER and it only gave me a massive headache with no pain relief. I take a baby aspirin or two for the pain and sometimes it helps. We’re all different so I hope you find what you can live with symptom wise. Take care

An alcohol ablation was not recommended for me, instead I had a septal myectomy two years ago at Mayo for HCM, obstructive, which began to compromise my quality of life. I later acquired an ICD because of dizziness and incidents of passing out (arrhythmia). Neither have happened since! Have you asked your cardiologist for further recommendations? Is your cardiologist well-versed in HCM?
I was informed by a Professor in Cardiology in England (UK) that chest pain is one of the most common symptoms of Apical HCM approx 25 years ago. Unfortunately I experience extensive chest pain on a daily basis with Apical HCM.
I have undergone 4 Intervention Coronary Angiograms to eliminate Coronary Artery Disease.
GTN (Glycerol Tri Nitrate) Spray & others Nitrates have been contra-indicated
by my Cardiologist ie I have been told to avoid them as they have proven to worsen my chest pain episodes when I have previously used these.
