At home with my new liver transplant
Coming home after an organ transplant is one of my fondest memories! However, sometimes being at home might seem a bit overwhelming. I remember the fear of being away from the secure environment and immediate care that my transplant team provided. Even though, I was a phone call away from my team, I would have welcomed the opportunity of talking to someone who was a recipient. So, I begin this discussion. Congratulations on your life saving transplant! You are not alone. Welcome.

Good morning, @swordfish. Once again, Congratulations on your new liver transplant! I got your message this morning. I hope that you have had a reply from your doctor and that all is going well for you. Sometimes little bumps occur as we continue the healing process, and as our body adjusts to our new medications. Rosemary

@swordfish I am happy that you have found this discussion. It sounds like you are experiencing some bumps on your path to healing. This has all got to be unpleasant now when the thing you most desire is to heal and move forward. Be patient, and try to rest and not over do activities. Is your doctor nearby? I hope you will begin to feel better soon. Later on, when you feel up to it, would you be comfortable to share some of your story? Now that you are one of us (recipients) you are in the position to help others!...But right now, you have to focus on you. Rosemary
