Like you, I've been on statins for more than 20 years, and ezitimibe (Zetia) for at least 15. I started the Repatha injections last September. Here's my results
Before: total cholesterol: 174, LDL: 109, Lipo B: 112, Lp(a): 185.7
February: total c: 87, LDL: 27, Lipo B: 40, Lp (A): 81.9
next blood test is early July. Node side effects or issues here
Thank you , I am going to see my cardiologist and he going to try and prescribe me Repatha . Did you insurance cover the Repatha?
Do you follow any diet plan ? Cardio exercise ?
Stress test ?
Lastly , are you taking COQ10?
Yes, no fried foods , processed food , no hard cheeses , no crackers .Only olive oil or avocado oil in the past. But wasn’t watching portions.. Trying now 5 smaller meals and way more veggies. fruit.
Yes , I’ve been taking coq10 and work in a job that requires me to be moderately active. .. trying now to start exercising
Have you done at stress test ?
Yes. Along with a card that Repatha provides (call and ask) my co pay at a retail pharmacy is $50 for 2 pens, and $5 if I use their mail order system, which I do. Repatha is brutally expensive, around $250 each dose otherwise
Yes, and echo all were ok . But the angiogram showed numerous 50% blockages and overall score on CTA was 1900
My understanding is the blockages need to be over 70 percent to do a stent ?
What are your next steps ?
I have been taking Repatha for five years. Great cholesterol results.
