Has anyone heard of/used the AeroNeb Go mesh nebulizer?

Good find! Have you requested a quote? I did. The setup looks similar to Pari's portable. I like that it does not waste medicine/saline.

No -- I was hoping I could find someone who actually owned and used it. What I liked about this nebulizer and the innospire is the particle size is 4-5 um compared to all the normal Pari nebulizer particle sizes are measured in microns which are significantly larger and I think why they don't work effectively for me. Plus this neb can be boiled. But it seems pricey and I don't want to spend the money until I can find someone who actually owns one

But Mesh Nebulizers do not work with saline. Are you getting this for saline or meds?

I have used my innospire go with saline the entire time and I am pretty sure what I read about this one says it works with saline

Some say they are ok with normal saline, which is also often used to dispense other med, but I am not sure about 3% or 7% - much more inclined to clog and/or corrode.
If I was a bout to order a new mesh nebulizer, I would call the vendor, or better still the manufacturer, and find out. I might also ask if there is anything special I should do to keep salt crystals from building up. Boiling my Innospire Go every couple of days (not steaming - I don't know about that) kept it clear. If I tried to go a week, is started spitting and leaking.

This is information I received directly from Philips re the Innospire Go...hope it helps someone:

"If you rely on it heavily, then I would have a backup nebulizer system. The saline is what causes problems due to corrosion of the metal components in the device and the very fine mist gets into it. You have to strictly follow the cleaning regime as per the instructions to ensure it works over time (see attached).

Also ensure when you are charging up the battery, once it is fully charged after a few hours, unplug it so that it won’t reduce the life of the battery. Some people leave it on charge overnight and this isn’t a good idea.

Lastly, try not to cough into the device while nebulizing as this promotes warm air within and then condensation and the liquid drips down the back of the device (for some patients, not all). When this happens with saline, the back of the device where the power cord plugs into starts to corrode.

The device has a 2 year warranty so if anything goes wrong we will replace so you have 2 years to cover yourself even though we have delisted the device. Keep your receipt to ensure the warranty replacement will be honoured."

I think there are a couple of mesh brands that say they work with saline but MOST do not.

This is really helpful. How did you get this info? Is there a number we can call about our equipment?

For several years, I have used both 3% or 3.5% saline solutions in my Innospire Go nebulizer and I have not had any issues. After each use, I always rinse with warm water, let the nebulizer run for about a minute with the warm water in the basin then, after I dump the water I let the nebulizer run until I get the beep that indicates that it is empty. I then clean the solution basin and mouthpiece with a small alcohol wipe (about a 1" square likely used by diabetics).

This was from 12 months back when I had a problem with my Innospire Go and contacted Philios in Australia by email.

I think I was just lucky jagging someone who was prepared to give a little more information.
