Anyone had experience with OsteoStrong, who is not a franchisee?

Has anyone had experience with OsteoStrong? It suggests you will get a large increase in bone density while using their facility 10 minutes per WEEK. Somewhat pricey at $99 and up per month, but am curious if anyone who is NOT a franchisee, has experienced this program?

I'm sure that not everyone has the same benefits, however my DEXA scan improved after 11 months of going to OsteoStrong once a week. I had not had a scan for 4 years, so no telling if I had gotten worse, but after 11 months of OsteoStrong I had improvement. Not astronomical improvement, but better than the scan I had four years earlier. OsteoStrong also keeps track of how much weight/strength is used on each machine for each session. I can see that my strength has increased exponentially. There is no proof that any one process works for everyone, and supervision is key. I can absolutely understand how someone could injure themselves working with weight machines if done incorrectly. I trust that it may not have worked for you, but I'm very happy with the progress I have experienced.

my fracture of L4 happened at Osteostrong on leg press. No doubt.

Thx for sharing. Could I ask what your L4 T score was? I’m contemplating OsteoStrong but it’s $349 a month where I live! I don’t want to get injured.

Thx for your answer. I went for a demo yesterday and blew out an old injury to my thigh...a pulled muscle. I also blame the leg press. I talked to my holistic doc about it (he'd be more open to this than an MD) and he said to stay away. It's a gimmick, and the key to successful exercise for OP is to BE CONSISTENT...that you lose what you've built in as little as say, 10 days. So stick with traditional weight-bearing exercise, but do it every day! Good luck...

I am in a biodensity clinic now with the original concept. OsteoStrong took the original (biodensity.com) and turned it into separate machines - I have been told.

My weekly 10/15 minutes has a doctor at my side talking through each detail of posture, position to make it effective and safe.

Only six months in - jury is still out. Just appeals more to me than lifting weights even with side by side trainer. SO many details involved.

There is no biodensity in my area, so I started OS. I have only had three sessions and I am a long way from reaching the required level to build bone. I will have a dexa scan in the fall and check back with whether OS made any difference.

I have been driving 150 miles a week to the closest OsteoStrong location and it is so worth it. In only 10 weeks my Dexa scan improved significantly. I feel stronger every week. My comment on injuries is this is the coaching you get. Go different times to meet different coaches to find one that works with your needs. I need someone to remind me of my positioning and checks me carefully before I push or pull. Looking forward to research coming out later this year to demonstrate what I have anecdotally experienced.

I would encourage you to be lifting weights 2-3 times a week to increase your overall strength. It is critical to meet that stimulus level so you may have to do chair squats and counter pushups to get to that point.

I do all that —OS is just an addition. ❤️

i know someone who did that program. i do not think he had another Dexa after the program. However, his previously noteworthy scoliosis seemed to improve;——and his posture appeared remarkedly improved

FYI I have been on a low-inflammation diet for the entire three years, including low to no sugar, no starchy foods, no gluten, no dairy. No sugar for the past 5 months or so.

I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and she called my results "extremely rare." Reflecting on this, I believe my diet had a lot to do with my progress.
