Anyone had experience with OsteoStrong, who is not a franchisee?

So agree. I am using Wellen and some of the certified Fishman 12 Pose gals on YouTube for daily work at home and they are so detailed with the how’s - making me realize that my years of Yogalates could have been done much more effectively if the instructor had known.

Kyphoplasty L4. Osteostrong caused the fracture. They are supposed to watch every move. Something went wrong I guess. I will never go back. There are no studies to validate the program. That I could find.

Did you have to provide a Letter of Medical Necessity from your Doctor to get reimbursed for membership fees? I have Aetna PPO Medicare Advantage (just turned 65). This is my second year of OsteoStrong. My scans showed a slight improvement after 11 months - which I'm thrilled with. My PCP is not familiar with OsteoStrong and I don't think she'd provide a letter saying that it was a medical necessity. I also started taking AlgeaCal about the same time as I started OsteoStrong.

No, the location I joined mentioned that they had been working with UH to get approved, so I ask them to check if it was—gave them my health insurance info. They checked and UH has approved OS the same way they approved paying for some health clubs. I don’t know if this is a location by location approval or if it applies to all OS locations.

The Osteostrong in fort Myers has had some success with Aetna. We have another insurance and I printed a claim form and got a letter from my doctor saying that the program was working very well. I heard back from the insurance co. that they needed one more thing. I took this as a good sign. I’m waiting for a hopefully, positive response. Osteostrong was very helpful in filling out the form. Always worth a try. (My PCP was also not familiar with Osteostrong but now said she’s going to check it out. ) Good luck to you and let us know how it goes.

Thx for sharing. Could I ask what your L4 T score was? I’m contemplating OsteoStrong but it’s $349 a month where I live! I don’t want to get injured.

The staff informed me that there is no reimbursement through medicare. There is no proof that this is a fitness organization. In fact?
What I found on the internet is that as is tha There is no proof that this therapy Provide.

I'm sure that not everyone has the same benefits, however my DEXA scan improved after 11 months of going to OsteoStrong once a week. I had not had a scan for 4 years, so no telling if I had gotten worse, but after 11 months of OsteoStrong I had improvement. Not astronomical improvement, but better than the scan I had four years earlier. OsteoStrong also keeps track of how much weight/strength is used on each machine for each session. I can see that my strength has increased exponentially. There is no proof that any one process works for everyone, and supervision is key. I can absolutely understand how someone could injure themselves working with weight machines if done incorrectly. I trust that it may not have worked for you, but I'm very happy with the progress I have experienced.
