Anyone diagnosed with PMR after the Covid vaccine?

Posted by mellee @mellee, Feb 28, 2023

I received the Pfizer covid vaccine and had horrible joint pain 8/10 as a side effect. I reported it online. 7 months later I developed horrific joint pain in my shoulders, hips and knees(same pain after the vaccine, but worse). I was ultimately diagnosed with Polymyalgia Rheumatica. I wish there was a site to go to and report these things.
I am only 57 and was a runner most of my life up to the age of 51, so I am not in horrible shape for my age. The pain from that PMR was very disabling. I am now on Hydroxychloroquine 200 mg BID and Prednisone 10 mg a day. Not happy about having to take more medications.

Darn good AI searching....yes! Just saying, had my sixth vaccine on the 13th of May...not a single side effect and it was Pfizer. I promise not to comment on this thread again~!!!!🫢😳💞

AI is far from being independent thinking. AI will say what it is programmed to say or what not to look for and what to substitute. AI is not what the media make it out to be. In the meantime, play with the AI and have fun with it. At this stage it is a toy. Would I bet my health on it? Not for a second.
Remember, it’s the internet and anybody can do anything with it.

I too have had same issues, there is a website to report side effects after Covid shots, I don’t have it but have gone to site when I had literatures in front of me. It’s a reporting site only, no feed back , your pharmacy may be able to help you find the web site, and yes all the system in my body and no longer able to function, but my trigger was after injury to back after lifting table - 2 months after 2nd Covid shot, I did get third, but started wondering in back of mind.. if it could hv been shots

Yes, two weeks after I got my second Pfizer shot I started with issues. At first I thought I had a serious case of Lyme because it had once hit my spine. Anyway, 2 years later I am down to 2 mg of prednisone a day. Right now I am dealing with fatigue, has anybody dealt with that?

Hi @npostusa, You are not alone with the fatigue. There is another discussion you might find helpful.

Pretty similar here, Lyme and babesiosis 8 years ago tapering Prednisone and having lots of fatigue now. Autoimmune issues came on after 2nd booster shot. The emergence of lumbar spinal stenosis isn't helping much.

In November 2021 I did my civic duty and I had the Pfizer booster shot.
5 days later I found myself paralyzed and unable to basically move as the pain was excruciating. I went to the ER, informed them that the only thing I did was to get the booster, mind you I never even had Covid. To make a long story "shorter", Doctor # 7 finally diagnosed me and through research; cone to find out that if you had the Pfizer shot and you are female, over 65, caucasian AND specifically of Scandinavian decent; there is a high probability of getting PMR. I thanked Pfizer for ruining my life. Pfizer is following my case but has yet to "apologize". Life has been hell, I also had 2 strokes twice. Prednisone & Humira but neither is making much difference. I tried all the other medications as well and did the Ivermectin protocol to no avail. So, my question is to find others who developed PMR from the shot.
