Joint pain: my lower back and legs is incredibly painful.
The bones in front of my legs are so painful and my lower back aches. I am 83; sole caretaker for Alzheimer’s spouse who is getting worse. Finances are limited. Is there diy help for me? I am crippled in the morning. My leg pains seem to radiate from the back but the bones in the front of the leg seem to be the source of the pain vs muscle. After walking I am able to stand but the pain is debilitating and excruciating. Can You help me, please?I have many household chores plus almost constantly caring for my spouse. The only true answer is the ability to find a good and competent doctor, who has the time and the interest to help you.
That's really difficult to find, but perhaps those who live in a larger city with an abundance of medical facilities will have better luck than those of us who live in rural or small town areas.
Waiting weeks or months to get an appointment with a doctor or test is also detrimental to this problem.
Pain wears a person down. Sounds like most posters here are in that condition.

I have similar problems if I do too much, walk or stand too long, etc. It sounds like you have peripheral neuropathy. Have you gone to a neurologist for testing (EMG/nerve conduction/skin punch biopsy for small fiber neuropathy)? You can try taking alpha Lipoic acid (ALA) supplements, use Salonpas lidocaine pain patches and capsaicin neuropathy topical cream to relieve some of the pain.

Hi, I have become extremely sensitive to medications also.
I put off cleaning up my diet for a long time. First thing I did was find a doctor that does functional medicine. Remember when we were little and they always drew blood for labs before they gave to any medication. I found a lot of answers on UTUBE. To find the doctor I found a pharmacy that will make up your medications for you, Apothecary Pharmacies, called them and spoke to the pharmacist. He gave me the number to three different clinics. They checked out everything they could. Then told me OFF ALL DAIRY and OFF ALL GLUTEN, try not to use preceded foods and organic as you can. Your diet extremely helps with the inflammation in your body. Since you have a computer there are tons of recipes that are gluten and dairy free.

Thank you for your help. I have an appointment for an EMG later this month. I also went to a vascular dr who has ordered an ultrasound. This is the first I’ve heard of a skin Punch biopsy. I didn’t know there was a small fiber neuropathy! I have an appointment I scheduled a month ago for a neurologist, but can’t get in until May. You’ve been so helpful and it’s much appreciated, especially the prayers!
I am 84 and in same situation ! One year ago I had a burst T-12 fracture from taking Prednisone, and have been in daily pain since, while being a caregiver for my husband with Alzheimer’s. I spend my days doing , then sitting for relief. . I am fortunate to be able to hire a sitter 1 or 2 days a week to allow me to be out with friends, which is important for my sanity! I do not know a pain fix, but you could check local Council on Aging, AARP, and If husband is a veteran check VA , to get help to give you some relief! Hugs and prayers!❤️🙏
Physical therapy, stretches daily, inversion board, ice daily 2o minutes on 20 off , gets me thru my daily I am herniated cervical & lumbar
I do stretches in bed before even getting up.
Lidocaine patches can be purchased OTC or higher strength thru a drs order. I haven’t tried these or Jovi patches. You can get an rx for lidocaine liquid to mix with something as well. Walking helps me as well.

I have severe spinal stenosis L4/L5, and was having severe sciatica shooting pains. I came across the Gokhale Primal Posture Method, read book, did a training, and began reconditioning my posture and movement. I’ve been pain free for almost four years now.
I should add; a Mayo physician called the method “the greatest contribution ever made to non-surgical back pain treatment.”
