Brilinta

Hi @anet, I know that @dyannne and @sonjafish1945 have discussed being on Brilinta. Perhaps they can share their experiences. Did your husband mention to his physician that it is causing shortness of breath? Is he having any other symptoms?

Only the shortness of breath and he is very tired. Just no energy. His blood pressure is erratic too. He checks it at about 9:00 pm every night. It will be as low as 115 some nights and up to 150 the next.

I have been on brilinta for a month. Causes some shortness of breath and low blood pressure. Around 117 over 70

Since my TIA and shortly after being on Brilinta and 81 mg of Aspirin I have noticed that my pulse rate jumps 30 to 50 beats per minute and I get very short of breath when I stand up. Has anyone else had such a reaction?

Was put on it after the Plavix I took for years had stopped working and caused me to have a stroke. Heart dr. put me on that got so short of breath wrote the name of the medicine down in case the paramedics came for me. Very scary when you can't breath. PCP switched me to Eliquis and have been fine since look it up has terrible side effects.

I was on Plavix at first but it caused severe chills followed by 102 fever. Then I was put on the Brilinta. Seemed ok at first but then started having the severe shortness of breath. I am having surgery tomorrow so I have been off of it for the past 5 days…feel so much better! Just scared now as to what they will put me on after the surgery. I am facing a two week bleeding risk so that will limit what I can be put on.

Tell them of the bad side effects ..I told my heart dr's office the reply I got was he was unaware of any breathing issues .. so I took it upon myself to go to my PCP and override what he had prescribed .. good luck with your surgery ..

Anyone experience dizziness with Bilinta?

I was just put on this for 6 months after a stent! I hate it! Lots of shortness of breath! Never had this problem
