Lingering dry nasal passageways

Posted by amwiz41891 @amwiz41891, Mar 12, 2022

Hello, at about two weeks into Covid and now still at 11 weeks, I’ve had no moisture/mucous in my nose. If I get anything out, it’s stringy white and opaque. I’ve had other post Covid issues that come and go…from lip tingling, Covid tongue, dry mouth, loss of smell and taste, regained but not 100%. Going to a third ENT and a long haul Covid clinic in the coming weeks. Thanks

mjay3251, Have you tried Ayr saline with moisturizing spray? Also, there is one on Amazon with Essential oils called Alkalol Saline Nasal Spray that works well to moisten the nose. Also, a cool mist humidifer in your bedroom at night can help with moisture. These helped me greatly. God bless you and I'm so sorry. Long Covid is very tiring and the doctors are still learning....just like we are. Praying for you tonight.

Yea I have tried everything nothing really works, saline spray works for about 2 minutes then drys right back out , it’s quite awful

I feel like the severe dryness is linked to our nervous system being dis regulated

I have this too, and my nasal passages randomly swell.
I use Afrin sparingly for swelling, and Xlear nasal spray, which has a moisturizing ingredient. It helps the dryness somewhat.

Have you recovered from the dry nasal passageways? How are you?
I' ve been having this as one of my symptoms since I had Covid Christmas 2023.

Hi, have you recovered from your symptoms yet? I may have the same issues? Face/nose pressure but no mucus. I have had CT and MRI and lumbar puncture and it's all clear. I assume it's inflammation? I also have terrible fatigue and brain fog.

Hi, I have been having the symptoms you describe (facial pain/pressure, no mucus and PEM/Fatigue) since I had Covid Christmas 23. How are you doing now? Have you recovered?

Can I have some updates from folks? Same thing is happening to me.

Hi. Are your issues eventually resolved? I unfortunately got Covid in beginning of May and have same problems as you. It’s driving me crazy. I hope there’s an end soon. Thx

Hi. Not sure if I can be helpful, I had a major flare up/crash about ten days ago which lasted for a good 7 days with a worsening of all symptoms inlcuding horrible dry nasal problems and an odd feeling of pressure around the nose. It did totally disappear after that. My sinuses still feel ab bit drier than usual but nowhere near as bad as before. My facial pain has also lessened from a ten to a three on most days now. I seems that some symptoms do get better. My exhaustion persists though and some other symptoms.

I’m glad some symptoms got better! Did/do you have some stuffiness too? Thanks for responding!
