Angie Mikkelson was in her mid-20s when she received her heart transplant in 1999. Incorrectly diagnosed with endocardial fibroelastosis at birth, Mikkelson came to the Mayo Clinic at 16 and was diagnosed with a parachute mitral valve, a congenital heart disease.
Twenty years later, Mikkelson is serving an ambassador for LifeSource and riding her way to sharing her triumphs with others.
