New Volunteer: Joud Haj Sakor
Please join me in welcoming Joud Haj Sakor to MCVP! Joud will be supporting outpatient operations at the Infusion Therapy Center downtown. Currently a high school senior, Joud has joined our Young Volunteer program and will transition into our College Volunteer program when she begins her studies at University of Minnesota, Rochester.
Q: Are you originally from the Rochester area? If not, where else have you lived?
A: No; I moved to the US six years ago. I am originally from Syria, but was born and raised in the United Arab Emirates.
Q: When you aren't volunteering, what else do you like to do?
A: Working out and biking
Q: What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?
A: My phone, a tent, and food
Q: What is your proudest accomplishment?
A: Graduating high school with 47 college credits
Q: What is your favorite thing about Mayo Clinic?
A: How it's there for humanity and helps people around the world, and how people all over the world specifically come here.

Hi Joud I was scrolling and noticed that we are pretty similar I am Syrian but raised in the United Arab Emirates and moved to the U.S. 1.5 years ago and I will insha Allah start volunteering with Mayo Clinic this summer and see if I can keep volunteering throughout the years. I am in 10 grade which was the only difference. I would like to get to know you better one day.
Hi @hananhassan, thank you for volunteering at Mayo Clinic during your summer months. I think you will learn a lot and be of benefit to patients and their family while you’re there.
