Lexapro was horrible to wean off of
Everyone’s chemistry is different.

I’ve heard that as well. I’m not sure what to do about it. I’ve tried so hard to avoid meds with exercise, talk therapy, good diet, supplements, meditation, etc. I even have an appointment for hypnosis therapy. I still have physical symptoms that is attributed to anxiety and depression. I have to get back on track. It seems all the meds that help with anxiety and depression have side effects.

Yes! Thanks! Same to you! I have a tight diet. Lean protein, whole grains, healthy fats, multiple veggies everyday….water, low sugar fruits, reducing my a1c….lost 58 pounds. Building core strength….I’m trying hard. Even starting to date again! But, you do what you have to I guess.

Don't give up, as @johnbluffside says!! You WILL find something that works for YOU. It's just that when we feel horrible...time seems to drag. Right now I am on 50 mg. of Zoloft, but have cut it in two for the last week....seeing how this works. Plus, I take 1 mg. Xanax daily....for several years. I WISH I took nothing!! But, at least I am down from where I was years ago....listening to wrong doctors, trusting when I should not have. But how do we know, at the time we are going to them? I now have a good Dr., first visit was today. He takes you seriously. He's called a counselor group to have someone call me...I know I need some therapy for anxiety, depression & grief. I'm looking forward to feeling better. Sometimes it's as if we are standing outside our bodies, looking at ourselves and thinking, 'That isn't ME. I remember a time when I was completely different.' You just keep on trying, you WILL feel better and I'm looking forward to feeling better....I just TRY to always keep the faith...and Lord, it's been hard. I am just thankful for this site....I don't feel ALONE. I wish you everything wonderful....just never give up! 🙂
