Will being tired mess Up my eye exam?

Tomorrow I have an eye exam really early but I often have an awful time sleeping so I know I will not be able to sleep well before. Will my eye exam be messed up if I am a bit tired ?

Being tired will not affect the accuracy of your eye exam. The measurements optometrists take for your prescription and the health of your eyes are not altered by being a bit tired.
You may notice some temporary eye fatigue or dryness, and your responses during the refraction can feel slightly slower, but that’s very common and something they account for during the exam.

If you didn’t sleep well, just let them know, it helps them pace the exam appropriately. From a medical standpoint, being tired will not interfere with assessing your vision or eye health.

No, it won’t affect your eye exam You’ll just be tired
In the future, ask for a later appointment. I do that all the time as I have delay sleep pattern and getting there at eight in the morning is not good for me so I ask for after 10 please and they’ve been very nice to schedule me later in the day
Wish you the very best
