Why do I have buzzing in my ears all the time?
About 5 months ago both ears started buzzing. Sometimes it's very loud, other times not so much. I know it's tinnitus, but is there any help for me?

Sorry I have been told no cure and the key is that you adapt to it over time. People suggest all sorts of things (taurine?). Mine fluctuates and it is hardest at bedtime. I believe I have gotten more used to it over time but not completely. Good luck!
Have you been checked for tinnitus ? Sounds like it. I had it for some time and it really is annoying. I was treated with a medicine for ear circulation and it helped me a lot. The same treatment as with laberintitis. Might help you 🙂 good luck
babby70, I have had tinnitus for about 6 years. I am blessed in that my brain has tuned it out. BUT, if I have food with a lot of sodium or too much caffeine, it ramps up. You do notice it more when you lie down at night. I use ear plugs at night....I can't explain why they help the tinnitus but they do. I highly recommend hearing aids if your tinnitus causes great heaing loss. The hearing aids help to tune out the tinnitus. I just got hearing aids about 2 weeks ago. WOW! What a difference. I waited too long time to get them and wish I had done it sooner. Prayers & Blessings to you....
Same for me I have had this for approx 20 years. Your brain tunes it out and the hearing aids really help if it’s related to hearing loss. They also have retraining apps built into the hearing aids that can help your brain habituate.
my brother has that also , he said dr cant do anything
I donʻt know what tinnitus sounds like. I have what I call white noise - I donʻt think itʻs a buzzing, more like hearing something electrical or mechanical. Not all the time but more at a particular area in the house but once when I was driving, it was intense and seemed loud. However it goes away and as I sit here this morning typing out my symptoms, I am aware of a faint white noise. Is this tinnitius?
Hi do you recommend any particular brand since you have a good experience with hearing aid
Hi do you recommend any particular brands?
dihanouch, I have the Oticon hearing aids. They are small and go behind the ear. A clear wire goes into your ear and you push the tiny cone into your ear. They are hardly noticeable. You can easily adjust them to the noise around you. You can get the bluetooth in these....I personally didn't want that.
Mine are guaranteed for loss for up to 3 years....If I lose a pair they will replace them 1 time. All the excessories also are given to you for 3 years.
They are expensive, but, this was before Medicare and I had met my deductible with the company insurance at that point from having surgery so I didn't have to pay much for them.
I have been pleased with them and with the service I have received.
I do hear wonderful things about Costco's hearing aids and their prices being lower.
It took me about 6 months to get use to them and I am going into my 2nd year with them.
The tinnitus has reduced at least 90% and I have it in both ears.
Wishing you the best. Praying for you as I know this is a big decision and you want to get the
best ones for you. Blessings....
I dealt with tinnitus for about 25 years and finally gave in last year and got Bluetooth hearing aids. It was wonderful finally not hearing that sound. They didn’t know if they would eliminate the sound, i was like a little kid hearing for the first time very happy!
