Whole Body Vibration for Osteoporosis
I’m looking into Whole Body Vibration to aid in bone building for osteoporosis. I’ve read that Low Intensity Vibration is better than high intensity. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Margie Bissinger’s workshop / seminar in 01/2025 was sponsored by Marodyne. How objective is her information when Marodyne pays ?
It has become a cottage industry of well connected individuals. I really am sad for the individuals pushing this very expensive LIV that seems to be struggling to find it's niche. All while, from the beginning, promises of "stimulating bone-forming cells, known as osteoblasts, thereby encouraging new bone growth. Concurrently, these vibrations may also reduce the activity of osteoclasts, the cells responsible for bone resorption or loss. Hence, this provides a two-pronged approach: it promotes bone formation while inhibiting bone degradation." All disproven by a well known study so many of us had placed hope in for the true efficacy of this LIV. So, now the tune keeps changing as to the possibilities of this miracle machine. I ve even seen that it can help with cancer patients. I believe it can't hurt anything but your pocketbook. The promises made have never been proven yet they'll find someone somewhere to publish it cured toe fungus. Good luck with it!
This is a serious disease not meant for sucking money from all of us diligently searching for answers.
If you re happy with the product great, but there ARE other LIV's on the market that are just as good IMO and way more affordable. Search for them. I cannot help but be forward on this topic, it's promoted by the well connected industry.
It is sad to see that there is a whole network of people presenting themselves as experts on OP selling misinformation, products…to seniors just for profits. We all have to be very cautious, do our research instead of readily trusting some of these people with big titles. SAD SAD.
Thank you for that clarification!
My specialist rolled her eyes when I asked her about the benefit of body vibration! 🙄🤷♀️
The history of the vibration machine go back to NASA. They created it for their astronauts in space. The scientists had to come up with a plan to help them regain muscle and bone loss while up in space. Seems like the plate is rooted in science.
Yes I agree, but in my mind that includes so called traditional medicine too!!
I’ve taken so many different osteoporosis medications, which have all been scientifically backed, and some have had very challenging side effects without seeing any changes. In addition, I've educated myself through numerous books on the topic. Personally, I maintain a healthy lifestyle by jogging 5 to 6 miles a day and following a nutritious diet, and I decided to stop drinking alcohol three years ago. Ultimately, I think focusing on what resonates with you and brings you joy is essential. I enjoy using a low-frequency vibration machine; regardless of its proven efficacy, it gives me a sense of well-being and feels good, which really matters to me now.
I love what you said about focusing on what resonates with you and keeping connected to joy.
I am using the MarodyneLIV device as an additional support for my other healing modalities. Medication and limited excercise. I had mobility issues due to numerous fractures in both feet that occured over 18 months which also affected the feet nerves. Although I am making prgoress my ability to stand and walk is limited. The LIV helps me when I cannot yet progress to stronger excercise. It helps muscle as well as bone restoration. Each person is different. I do not claim that the vibration platforms by themselves are enoguh - but in additon to other modalities, I believe in it. You have to do the work of cleaning up your diet, and getting in depth testing ( blood work, bonemarkers, allergy, gi, inflammatory markers , nutritional condition etc) and address all issues that arise. My research has indicated the MarodyneLIV is a good choice for me as I am progressing our of a fragile state and will sontiue to use it into old age. Sending postive energy to each of you.
I have the Marodyne too and love it!
if not for bones, it can be good for balance
