Whipple or no Whipple?

I know we're all different in what we decide is best for us. Just need some comfort knowing my husband might decide to not go further by having the Whipple procedure. I respect his decision if that's what will be. Has anyone decided on not having the procedure. Ty

@dtkach37 Hi and welcome to Mayo Connect. It sounds like things are progressing well for you. That's great. What does your post surgery follow up look like moving forward?

@tomrennie at 6 weeks i did have a CAT scan that showed no tumor remaining. Have another scheduled in June to confirm. Still on Creon and experimenting daily with new foods like everyone else. Different foods give me lots of gas and belching. That and an off an on pain on my right side along my horizontal incision line under my rib cage keeps my activity somewhat restricted still. Hoping this subsides over the next few weeks and I can get back on the golf course among other things.

@dtkach37 Congrats to you. Your remaining challenges hopefully will subside with a little experimentation and time. Sometimes, just hitting the ball feels good. If it goes where it is supposed to, even better.
