Which acupuncture points for ADT side effects?
I’ve noted several posts relating acupuncture. I have been using an electro-acupuncture pen for years to manage various running injuries.
While my searches for "acupuncture/hot flashes/ADT" didn't yield a specific clinical protocol for ADT, I did find several references regarding acupuncture's benefits for hormonal hot flashes in general. The suggested pressure points are:
KI-3 (Taixi): Located on both ankles.
SP-6 (Sanyinjiao): Located on the inner leg.
GV-20 (Baihui): Located at the crown of the head.
Since ADT-induced hot flashes are a hormonal regulation issue, I am assuming these points remain relevant.
Comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

On active surveillance myself, so I have no experience with ADT or its side effects; but I did find the following references that directly relate to your question.

1 Reaction@handera Many thanks for the links. I'm thinking that acupuncture should be available as an alternative without side effects. I will see how it works out for me.

1 Reaction@johnwf, acupuncture is a treatment offered as part of integrative oncology programs (https://www.mayoclinic.org/departments-centers/integrative-oncology/overview/ovc-20542190) at some cancer centers, including Mayo Clinic.
