Where can i get a PSE Prostate Specific Antigen Blood Test?

Posted by romanowski @romanowski, 23 hours ago

Diagnosed with Prostate cancer in 2018 with a Blind Biopsy without carrying out a MRI first-I Left that clinic all they wanted to do was Operate robotically-

I then Found and attended the Dr Busch Clinic in Georgia
I was at stage 1 so we monitored annually with their MRI
They were one of the first to use the TULSA method if needed
in 2019 my Cancer cells had gone TBT God
I have been monitoring annually ever since and then every 2 years the last time
Due for an MRI this Spring and read about PSE Prostate Specific Antigen Blood Test in the UK
My Question is : Where can i get this done in the US ?
I live in TN close to the AL border
I can get my house doctor to request it for me , but where.

Please Help

Your doctor has to order the test. Then oxford Biodynamics will send you a box kit. Most of the labs won't complete the draw for you. But a phlebotomist will come out to your residence or you can find a independent phlebotomist and go to them--a little less expensive. They will mail the kit and send you the results. I think it takes three weeks to get results. The results are either likely or unlikely without any scale. They won't share the genetic information that they draw from your blood. I hope you are unlikely.

My Urologist ordered the test and I had the test done in his office.

@mikead63
You may have had a test in the office, but the Episwich PSE test is done at their office.

@jeffmarc Made contact through 888 number. They emailed me and sending me a kit out
so i can share with my Doctor,

Self Cost is $950 But my Medicare insurance pays for the MRI which is way more expensive so fingers crossed they will cover it

Thank you very much

I have heard that if insurance doesn’t cover it they will give you a discount. You might ask about that if that comes up.

@romanowski,
Medicare paid for the testing, but not for the draw. If the draw is in your doctor's office, Medicare will pay, at least in CA.
Labs like labcorp and quest won't perform the draw.
We paid $70 for the draw. It would have been $125 for the phlebotomist to come out.
The oncologist had heard of the test, but thought it was unavailable. I leaned about it here on Connect thanks to Bens1.
