Still the injections as far as I know. The FDA banned the implants to replace the injections.
Have you ever heard of RGX-314 GENE THERAPY? I've heard that it's in clinical trials for macular degeneration as well as RETINAL VEIN OCCLUSION as a one and done treatment that teaches the eye to make its own medicine hence no more injections. But please double check me. No promises on my end about this.
