I had it once when I had a UTI. I saw my primary who confirmed it with lab culture. I’d get it evaluated by your doctor.

Could be multiple reasons:
- Is it really in urine, or blood on tissue or in bowl?
- As @celia16 mentioned, UTI can cause blood in urine. To confirm you will need to see a provider for a urinalysis.
- Scratch or wound in genital area that is bleeding, if you have a hand held mirror, exam yourself for any open sores.
- Could it be a hemorrhoid that is bleeding?

I would suggest making an appointment with your primary to get checked out?

Are you having any other symptoms beside the appearance of blood?

First thought: urinary tract infection. Do you have additional symptoms like frequent need to pee; pain on peeing; back pain? Another possibility: kidney infection. In either case, you need medical attention.

I agree with the others. Good to get checked by primary doctor, urologist, gynecologist and/or gastroenterologist to cover everything down below (urinary, vaginal/uterus, rectum). You need testing to diagnose to cause. Good that you are seeking answers for something abnormal for you.
