Very concerned about post op recovery at age 67! Any information would greatly help.

I had a lower left lobectomy in July, 2024. I am 74 yrs old and quit smoking over 20 years ago. I was in the hospital 3 days and continued to have troubles when I got home.
I had Covid 1/2022 and due to constant infections, I have "Covid Lungs". I am prone to infections and pneumonia and my lungs are scarred.
The point is,I think, for me, anyway, how you are impacted by this lung surgery is dependent on the general health of your lungs.
I wish you success in your upcoming surgery. So much easier than I ever thought it would be, thanks to the robotics.

Hi,
I smoked 30-ish years, quit almost 20 years ago !
Yes, I was in good health prior to surgery.
Due to other physical issues, I was not exercising as I had been for a bit, so I was not in what I would consider “ my best shape” … however, surgery went well, no issues.
Sending positive thoughts 😊

Anyone with upper left lobe removed by robotic surgery. How many incisions did you have?
