What brought you joy today?

Posted by northoftheborder @northoftheborder, Jun 28, 2024

If you've been living with cancer for a while, you know it's not all gloom and doom. Where did you find joy today? I'll start:

1. Working in my garden.
2. Meeting my daughter for tea.
3. Home-made pizza for dinner.
4. My spouse (always).
5. Some interesting online discussions.
6. Rereading a good novel.

What brought me joy last night was feeling well enough to go rehearse with my community choir. Instead of feeling like "someone going through chemo", I felt like a normal person doing what I love.

Carting grand kids back and forth to appts and different schools, took a side trip and saw a pretty lake. Now back to a school!

@wdytys Dare I also recommend a tiny dash of real maple syrup? 😉

@wdytys Sounds great! I add dried cranberries and raisins (which rehydrate when I pour the boiling water onto the oats), but same idea.

Today is a great day feeling so thankful 🙂

Being at home and sleeping in my own bed.
Having my husband at home with me.
Knowing we have a great bunch of friends and of course great doctors that helped us get here.
