What are the best adjustable beds?

I need a queen size adjustable bed for GERD. The wedge pillow did not work for me

You can’t beat the TempurPedic IMO. We have had our split king for 15 years and it allows me multiple elevation levels while my husband can sleep at the “normal” flat level. I believe it comes in queen size too. I have GERD, MAC and Bronchiectasis and this bed is a godsend. Hope this helps😉

I have the Tempurpedic one too and love it. You can elevate the head and/or the feet. It also has zero gravity position.

@sallyb827 If you are simply looking to be able to elevate the head of your bed, many foam and hybrid mattresses are compatible with adjustable bases. The bases can vary from very simple - raise the head only, using a corded control, to very elaborate - split for 2 people, adjustable throughout, zero gravity, dual cordless remotes...
We were not sure it would help us (it does) so we started with the simplest adjuster we could get. The jury is still out on whether we will upgrade to something more elaborate.
One thing to note, if you buy a split queen or split king, it requires 2 separate sets of sheets. The king are easily available - they are twin extra long. For the queen, availability and choices are less, but you can get them by mail order.

A friend finally put some hardy pillows under the mattress at the headboard, worked for her.

I also am mattress shopping. My odd problem is that my husband doesn't want to have his head raised so I need a split king. They are expensive and when I had one before it was extremely hard to make. I'm thinking about using a bedroom that my grandson uses and just get a full bed. We are going to be one of those couples.

Same issue here. I replaced the mattress setup in a guest room with an adjustable bed. It has a decent quality mattress with adjustable base. While the adjustable part is ok, the mattress doesn't give the same support/feeling as a mattress on a foundation. Maybe I could get used to it if I gave it time. Anyway, I went back to using my wedge on the king, which I sleep well on. Relax the Back makes them in standard and wide sizes. Very comfortable.

My husband and I have had two split kings over the past 20 years. One was made by a mattress company locally, and the second is a Tempur-Pedic. They both were, indeed, expensive, especially the Tempur-Pedic. Frankly, my husband likes how it helps him sleep and feel, but I’m having other difficulties with arthritis, fibromyalgia and age related aches and pains. I don’t sleep as well as he does. But, it is most helpful for keeping my head raised and not having reflux. (Thought to be one of the contributing factors to MAC). Check your local area for any bed or mattress company that might be able to make you what you need. Good luck!

There are several sheet makers that have a split king set. Not sure about split queens, although I would guess they do. There are also sheet makers who will make the exact size you need. I am forgetting the name of the one I used years ago, but they did an excellent job. It’s a national company.

I am still looking for an adjustable bed that goes in trendelenburg (SP) position but not a hospital bed. The hospital beds are too narrow. I was looking at ALL the adjustable beds until a little over a year ago when I had the sleep study and was on an adjustable bed.
I had the worst nerve pain from my osteoarthritis spine that I have every had in my life. My back needs to be straight but the head of the bed elevated due to acid reflux.
I have my (1950's bookcase headborad bed on blocks but that raises the bookcase part more than the actual mattress.
I have a wedge pillow that I take with me when I have to spend the night away from home.
Does anyone know of a double bed that will raise the head and keep the back straight, (Incline position)?
