Weighted vest or vibration plate
I just invested in a weighted vest which I use when taking walks. Has anyone tried the vibration plates? Seems like there are mixed opinions on both. Has anyone seen any success with these? Thanks

I was also considering purchasing a vibration plate. Instead, I searched for a facility that uses vibration plate therapy and luckily found one. The Dr said I wasn’t a candidate due to several fusions which used screws. They may back out due to the vibration. Think twice if you have any hardware in your body.

1 Reaction@csrb7007 Any hardware? Really? Like clamps from having my gallbladder removed?
I use both. I walk daily with a weighted vest and I use the Marodyne LiV plate 3 times per day. My DEXA scans improved dramatically after 2 years and then showed stable readings the subsequent two years which is not usually the case at my age so it’s a win. I started eating 50 grams of prunes per day to add another bone health item in the mix. Will see how the numbers look next year!

2 Reactions@tiny28 - I am considering adding the mineral strontium citrate to my supplements. I've spent hours reading the posts from Inspire.com as well as the medical publication links provided. Check out the success stories of those who are taking the over-the-counter strontium citrate (not to be confused w/other forms of strontium used in the UK, etc) from women in their 70s, 80s, 90s.

2 Reactions@awfultruth I ‘ve decided to return both vibration plates.
AVX and VT007 . More studies needed to convince me of improving bone density.
@triciaot -- I agree EXCEPT, I found a 'formerly owned' vibrating plate system at Amazon for $137. It's still returnable, for free. It has a LIFETIME guarantee.--- I feel it's helping my neuropathy a lot!
@meri8181 Yes, I understand your view. I have a vibrating plate (guaranteed for life--found on Amazon as used) and it really helps my neuropathy.
@singingbones -- Thank you for doing the research!
It seems that like me you're a research hound! Super! I'm newly diagnosed with osteoporosis. Your suggestion for taking strontium citrate is a place for me to begin addressing my bones in need.
