Any ideas for reaching a plateau with weight loss?
I have truly buckled down and started losing weight. All of my life I have been heavy but this year I am turning 56 and it has really started bothering me. I was 356 when I started in December and now I am 330. For some reason I cannot seem to go below this weight is there anyone out there that can give me some pointers outside of the surgery right at this moment.

I think everyone has experienced a weight plateau, and it can be frustrating. Sometimes you just need to pay more attention to what your eating.
Mayo has article about subject with suggestions:

@illac - just wanted to touch base and see how your weight loss journey is going?
I, too, have had challenges with my weight. Somehow I went from being a normal to low end of normal weight person to suddenly seeing I could be overweight when I was about 34, and I've had to deal with that since. I've done a few diets through companies and on my own. But it is indeed hard to maintain.
I'm hoping my new insurance program this year will allow me to go back on semaglutide shots, as that worked well for weight loss for me before, though the side effects were not fun at all. I'm trying to remain hopeful.
Did your weight loss plateau finally end? Are you feeling encouraged or discouraged about weight loss at this point?
