Weight Gain with Evenity

Posted by susanew @susanew, Feb 11, 2025

Some have said they gained some weight when taking Evenity. Any idea at about what shots you noticed this? I am now going to be taking shots #9 and I do notice about a 4 to 5 lb. gain. Anyone else notice a gain in weight and if so, when was it noticeable?

I started Evenity last December.
I've had steady weight gain ever since. It's almost all around the belly. I gained a whopping 6kg! My regular weight has been around 48kg for most of my adult life and never above 50kg. With fasting and extra walking I managed to lose 2kg but over 2 months and simply can't shift it any lower and cutrently sitting on 54.3kg. I've never had a problem maintaining or losing a kg here and there before. I had the last two injections in my arms but not seen a difference in my belly. I'm 68. I don't know if it's coincidence but reading through the posts on this thread makes me think there could be a connection. I did report it to the Evenity nurse when she did her last checkin with me.

I gained 4-5 lbs (us) also. I started Tymlos around mid November…haven’t gained more but it doesn’t effect pinp stimulate then the opposite …the research doesn’t show weight gain as a effect from evenity or Tymlos but there are plenty of patients claiming so… I’ve always been 112-15 my whole adult life. I’m same age approximately…

I hadn't heard of Tymlos. It's marketed under a different name in Australia. Apparently once I complete 12 months of Evenity, I then have a 12 monthly infusion of Aclasta. (Reclast.) Really hoping I can get rid of the belly bulge so I can fit back into my favourite clothes again! I was complaining to my principal and she said that being fat was better than breaking bones. My reply, if I fall I'll probably just bounce!
