Vertigo
Hope all is well with everyone. I just finished testing with my primary and I do have vertigo. She said therapy may help relieve the dizziness. I do have pills to take to help some of the dizziness. Just wondering if this is common with people who have autoimmune diseases? Has any one done physical therapy for vertigo? Did you get good results?

I have vestibular migraines which is vertigo with a migraine. Mayo did the testing and diagnosis. The doctor back here kept saying it was my ears. Saw ENT at Mayo they said it was not my ears.
Also have several autommune diseases .
I have BPV and found a Dr at a local medical centre (not my own Dr) that specializes in Vertigo Maneuvers . He said it will most likely come back sometime in the future so bring my husband in later that afternoon and he can use his ph to video what I do. The Dr had a nurse in the room who counted down how long each part of the maneuver had to last for - it was really invaluable for me and my husband as it keeps coming back, only in my right ear and is terrible turning over in the night. There are lots of videos on you tube, but it does help having someone guide you and time you. I also have a auto immune disease EGPA and have just recently had a heart attack. Take care. L
I have had vertigo (and ear issues) for most of my life, but the spells became frequent and very severe about 14 years ago. There were times when I was afraid to move or open my eyes for hours at a time. I was seen by an ENT at a Dizzy & Balance Center and was diagnosed with BPPV. When I first learned the maneuvers, I was instructed to do them 3 times daily until I was vertigo-free for seven days. What I didn't expect was that it was MONTHS before I would go seven days without an attack of BPPV. We finally determined it was because I had it in both ears.
Now I have attacks infrequently (and always in my left ear), and if I pay attention, I know when they are coming because the tinnitus in my ear changes from a clear high-pitched constant tone to sounding like a loud bell tone a day or two before. If I start the exercises right away and can often avoid a full-fledged attack. At worst it is more mild and I can continue to function while doing the exercises 3X a day.
Two of my friends had successful crystal therapy. One had to repeat PT five years later. Success again.
Yes it works
