Use of ColdCaps During Treatment--and for the user--How to do it?

Hello MC Connect!

Wondering if anyone has utilized ColdCaps during treatments-How the patient's caregiver can apply the caps and any insight or tips on this? What is the level of discomfort for the patient using the cap? Is it safe???

Hi Chelsea,
Good question. The jury is still out on cold caps. The is conflicting evidence about the effectiveness of cooling the head before, during or after chemotherapy to prevent hair loss. This article from the American Cancer Society sums it up plainly and in brief.

My hair thinning is from letrozole, so cooling caps were not a practical option.
