Undiagnosed for nearly 4 years: nausea and upper abdominal pain, weak
Hi there,
I was a fit and healthy 19 year old, when I was struck with immense nausea and upper abdominal pain, bloating and extreme fatigue to the point where I'm bed bound, and weak legs, which I can only describe as feeling as though they've been filled with concrete.
As the years have progressed, I now have heat intolerance, lesions on my scalp, my heart rate goes up over 40 beats per minute when I go from seated to standing, and yellow bruises that seem to appear on my legs for no apparent reason, and I often wake in the night with a knawing pain in my stomach like I've never eaten before.
I have seen a gastroenterologists who have ruled out crohns disease, IBS, gastroparesis, inflammation in the gut and food intolerances and have discharged me, saying there's nothing more they can do for me.
I'm at my wit's end, and have spent almost four years bed bound. No anti nausea medication helps at all, and the only medication I'm on is sleeping tablets to sleep through the pain at night, although it still wakes me during the night.
I have attached pics of the scalp lesions.
If anyone has any clue as to what this could be I would really appreciate some help as I'll be turning 23 this year, fell ill when I was 19 and just want some kind of quality of life back. Thank you so much, in advance!

are you insured? Are you near a mayo clinic!? I got h pylori and Drs kep saying i had tge flu, for 6 weeks! I lost 40 pounds in 2 months, couldnt even get water down...after 3 months and many IV hydrations in ERs, where they just sent me home after. -i was practically dead . LastcER dr said it was depression! unbelievable! of course I was depressed! 3 months no food, Iv hydration, couldnt lay down-had to sleep in a chair, lost my job, finally my last physician tested me for h-pylori, came up positive-5 antibiotics at once and 2 months later got better. Still makes me angry , esp when I hear of orhers who get it! You must see a physician who is GOOD-takes time to help you, its important! I almost died.

Chronic leg weakness muscle pains fatigue gut symptoms. Hi I have chronic muscle and nerve issues from twitching to pains and some weakness and feeling of nervous system activated this has led to feeling of depression , can anyone help

Muscle pains twitching weakness. Hi does muscle twitching pain and weakness be cause by any of these autoimmune conditions

It may, but if you’re on Prednisone, that’s likely the culprit. Muscle wasting, weakness is a side effect. I’m weight training every other day trying to offset the shrinkage! At 76 it’s hard to tone the muscles and especially with Prednisone

3 ReactionsThe gut symptoms sound like ulcerative colitis. Also possible celiac disease. (I have both.) Have you been seen by a gastroenterologist?

2 ReactionsIm no expert on the topic but have done some research on the gut microbiome and its the new frontier in health science. Griffith university on the Gold Coast has a clinic dedicated to helping those with gut problems, im sure there are other reputable services. Your gut flora are seriously out of whack after what youve been through. The first thing you can do to help yourself is get hold of some good organic fermented foods (not the supermarket rubbish) and take a small cupful every day. L-Glutamine supplementation might help. Something that is happening mainly in Australia and sounds a bit 'out there' but is having some amazing results for people with serious gut issues is 'poo transplants' .
