I also have a book to write, no energy for that right now. Maybe it's too much rain, not much sun! Don't know what, why or???. I seem to be sleeping ok, but still tired. any idea's? I just turned 84 and dealing with all this stuff. I was diagnosis January 2016. No treatment of any kind yet. and also no pain. Am fortunate for several t(hings.

Hi Teresa, Well I'm doing pretty good. I have had one session of chemo, they didn't give me only two items of the chemo as I had some skin cancer on my forehead that was to be taken off on the next monday. Now That is going and the ity bity stitches will be removed on the 27th. On the 28th I will have chemo again. First time I did not get sick or anything. So I hope I can get through the next one without getting sick. also. I have been put on oxygen all night and I think that is helping a whole lot. I also have a nebulizer machine to breathe some medicine with. Don't have to use it only couple times a day. So am doing quite well concidering everything thats going on with me. I do not have any pain and that"s a blessing. Happy Thanksgiving kiddo. Nancy

I'm so pleased to hear that you have not been ill from the chemo. I know that the oxygen at night will be good for you. Do you sleep better now?

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving as well!

November 29, shortshot80, Well I went in yesterday to have my second chemo. My white count was down and I could not have chemo. Have to go in next Tuesday and 8:15 am. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We did. Bob's cousin, husbland, daughter & husband came to visit for the day. My 11 pound turkey, stuffing, rubarb/cranberry/walnut sauce was wonderful. Also potatoes, gravy, ceery apple/walnut salad went over really great. Bob, I and Bob jr made a lemon pie and they brought a pkumpkin/chocolate pie for desert. Hey no calories anywhere. We had a great day, played couple games of cribbage. Had a great day. We shall see what next week brings. Nancy

Oh, Nancy @shortshot80

I'm so glad to hear about your Thanksgiving! It sounds like it was delicious and fun. I've never played cribbage, I'll have to take a look at that game. Does it take a long time to play?

Our Thanksgiving was good as well - unfortunately we did not have rhubarb/cranberry/walnut sauce, I'll have to look for a recipe for that 🙂

I am sorry that your chemo had to be delayed but I will be thinking and praying for you next Tuesday.

Keep in touch, we care about you,

Teresa

Hi Teresa, (shortshot80) I took all the rubarb I had in the freezer and put it in my oval turkey roaster to cook. The roaster was about 2 inches from the top. I put two packages of cranberries in the pan, added about two cups sugar and cooked it till it came to a boil. Cooked it for another half hour or a little more and then put two cups of chopped walnuts in it. Cooked it for another fifteen minutes. I had 12 pint jars washed, rinced and set in a shallow pan on the stove. I then filled one pint at a time, Had the lids in a shallow pan of hot water. Fished one out at a time,, wiped the top of the jar with a clean wet towel, then put the ring on top and tightened the jar. I have eleven pints of my sauce. We had a small turkey 11 pounds. I made stuffing and put it in the turkey. and cooked it for
at 350 and 25 minutes per pound of stuffed turkey. Aproximatley 3 and half hours. Umm good. made some gravy and potatoes. Celery apple walnut salad.

Cribbage is a fun game. Just have to know how to count and add the points. Doesn't take long to play a game at all. That is how we taught our four kids to count and add. They come to visit and out comes the cribbage board. Nancy

shortshot80) Nancy.... My son Randy came to visit for a little whiletoday. His wife Joy has lung cancer too. She is in mega pain. She has just finished six days of radiation and another one chemo treatment. She is Randy's second wife with cancer. His first wife died of Melanomah back in 1998. I have tears in my heart for Joy! Right now I am so blessed that I don't have any pain. God is good! I wish I could do something for Joy, but I am unable to do anything for her. So Please prayers for her. (Nancy
