Travel nebulizer and lack of effectiveness with sodium chloride

I have the travel nebulizer that everyone raves about here … can’t remember the name .. has battery , AC cord and car charger. I don’t feel like it works well either sodium chloride and definitely not with my Aerobika which I do at the same time. I really need a travel nebulizer that can do all that.

Are you using 7% saline? I find it hard on nebulizer equipment, but I soldier on because hypertonic saline is so helpful in getting the gunk out.

What works best for me: get the saline into my lungs as quickly as possible, then spend my time on huff coughing, postural drainage, aerobika etc. After all, the most important part of airway clearance is actually getting the gunk out.

I've been down the road of spending 25+ minutes nebulizing, only to face another round of airway clearance afterward. The whole process is utterly exhausting!

@sharonednaramsey I have never found the 7% saline to be a particular issue with any nebulizer, so I'm not sure what the issue might be.

But, with the exception of the Pari eRapid, all of the small portable nebulizers I have ever had are much less powerful than the tabletop units. It stands to reason when you compare the size of the compressors. So, the Pari Trek and Innospire Go were always slower than my big machines.

As for using the Aerobika with a travel neb, I have never tried it since doing them together was never comfortable or effective for me. Maybe someone else has experience with that.

I tried pari treck with 7% sodium chloride and with aerobika- took loooong and very small effects. Even without aerobika it takes a long time( I used it a few times at the airport).
