How do I add my name to the title of our car?

My husband had been dx with LBD..How do I add my name on the title of his SUV in Florida

Your local DMV should be able to guide you in this. If you have durable power of attorney, it should be easy. An attorney, especially an elder law attorney, could help, but a call to the DMV is free.

My mother has dementia. We recently met with lawyers and signed the POA and I am now her POA. As a spouse, I would think that you are POA, but I would ask the doctor for documents stating his diagnosis. I am having to show the bank, etc. the POA. I would think as the spouse this would be sufficient to have a letter from the doctor, but I do not know. You might ask the doctor as well as the DMV is sometimes difficult to get contact. Maybe it says on their website? You could google "POA for spouse in Florida." Good luck. I know this diagnosis is difficult.
