Tips on scheduling an appt with Mayo Children’s
We have been trying to schedule my daughter to be seen by Mayo Children’s Clinic since March. She has a rare condition that has confounded her local doctors and we are desperate to get her help. Friends of ours said scheduling with Mayo was a breeze but we have had endless problems. We are only allowed to deal with one scheduler who never returns phone calls and is constantly out or gone or lunch or on the other line. After months of begging for appointments we finally got a schedule and it was missing the one type of doctor our daughter really needed to see. When we called to find out what to do we were told that her whole schedule had been done incorrectly and it would likely be another month before she could get appointments. Now we’re out hundreds of dollars in irreversible travel costs and we have been told this scheduler is unavailable for days and no one else can help us. Has anyone else experienced this level of difficultly and does anyone have any tips on what we can do?
