@beejenigma I am puzzled, why do you rub thyme oil on your feet? The first study you cited looked at the effect of the components of thyme oil directly on a variety of pathogens growing in media in the laboratory, typically in combinations with antibiotics. The second reported the antibacterial properties of specific compounds in thyme oil from various species and sources.

Have you found any studies demonstrating that these protective compounds are able to penetrate the skin and travel to infection sites? Otherwise, you may just be killing a few germs on your feet, and enjoying a nice fragrance.
