Thick walled cyst found on ultrasound. Should I do a follow up ultraso

Hello,

I have a question about a transvaginal ultrasound I had a week ago. I went in for increased pelvic and back pain the the past year. Most everything else was normal for the time of my cycle I was in, but they found this too:

"Within the right ovary, there is a 1.5 cm complex thick-walled cyst with crenulated margin demonstrating internal echoes and peripheral vascularity"

My question is if I should have a follow up ultrasound in 6-12 weeks to make sure it went away? My doctors office is telling me it's a normal find with no need to follow up, but then online reputable sources say most doctors will do a follow up one.

I should also note that my doctor who issued the test is now out on maternity leave, and my results are being given to the doctor(s) on hand.
