Testosterone microdosing for perimenopausal symptoms

Posted by mglayton72 @mglayton72, Oct 25 6:52am

Has anyone tried microdosing testosterone for perimenopausal symptoms? Any experience with this?

Know anything about microdosing testosterone for perimenopause?

Any thoughts on it?

I see that research his being done on this

I have testosterone as part of my bhrt regime. I noticed that when I used the testosterone/estradiol pellet
I did not have any leaks. When I switched to the estradiol patch and testosterone cream I had occasional light stress incontinence. In addition, my libido is not as strong.

Are you on bhrt/hrt? Does it include testosterone?

I have not read anything like peer-reviewed research yet, but am planning on seeing if I can find some on Google Scholar.

@gravity3

I am on a weekly estradiol patch and oral progesterone for now.

I was diagnosed with PCOS in my early to mid-20s and had higher than normal androgens. And of course had the lovely symptom of hirsutism, mostly on my thighs and face.

I suppose I am wondering if my testosterone levels have dipped to a point where microdosing testosterone may also be beneficial in combating perimenopausal symptoms. The estradiol and progesterone seems to be helping the physical symptoms a bit, but the cognitive symptoms are very much still present.
