Testosteron therapy

Posted by neilgr777 @neilgr777, 7 hours ago

My primary doc wants to try testosterone to increase my energy and address other conditions. She checked with the EP and he said it was OK relative to risk of getting out of rhythm on afib. My T4 is ok but the free T3 is low. I'm hoping this will help with some of the fatigue from low heart rate and blood pressure, but don't know.

Any experience with this?

Sorry, no experience, but I don't know that a gradual rise in dose of testosterone should affect your heart negatively. Maybe it might improve its function....if you can steel yourself to be optimistic about the trial. I do know that thyroxin levels are much more potentially going to affect the heart's rhythm, so at least you don't have to deal with that, just the testosterone. Why not give it a graduated shot? And good luck to you, too! 🙂

Actually, I am toying with looking into my testosterone levels. Please report back on your experience.
Thanks,
