Symptoms throughout the day: A pattern is emerging

Posted by prancer20 @prancer20, Jan 11, 2023

I am 5 weeks post covid positive test and I find that there seems to be a pattern emerging. I feel okay most mornings (especially after eating), okay until the mid to late afternoon and then some days I crash. I get tired and sometimes get those pesky palpitations and light headedness. After dinner, I feel a lot better again, and after a hot shower generally even better. This happens even if I have a mid afternoon snack. I also seem to have better blood pressure readings in the evening. has anyone else experiences this?

I don’t know if doctors will get all this figured out in my lifetime, but I choose to have hope for a cure. It will take a ton of research to figure out what exactly covid did to us so they can treat it. I don’t blame doctors for not knowing what all to do. They are figuring it out with us. I’m the only Long Covid patient my PCM has. She is scared to even treat me because she doesn’t know what to do. Even Mayo says they have no one like me. Most people like me never walked out of the hospital. I fought really hard to still be here. I’m on oxygen 24/7 and am trying to get a double lung transplant just to live. I have pulmonary hypertension from all this, along with all those other Covid symptoms. I get sick with respiratory infections or flu-like symptoms often and for weeks or months at a time. We have to keep fighting to live while they figure this all out. It’s really hard, we are all struggling here. I hear you, I validate your symptoms, and I care. Hang in there everyone!!!

I am still waiting to hear from the Covid Clinic. Supposedly, my primary has referred me and they needed a blood test showing I had Covid virus antibodies. I tested positive, so now they have what they need. I will be 6 weeks post Covid next week. I am not sure how long after virus is necessary for them to consider you "Long Covid". Scripps Health has a web site in which it includes "Long Covid Clinic". As soon as I have more info, I will let you know.

Thank you. My insurance doesn’t cover the clinic; I tried. I am going to Dr Yoder and paying out of pocket. When you find out their procedures and/or suggestions I would love to know. Thank You Jeanne 858,212.6888

Thank you first of all for the energy in you comment. I do agree, my husband has been helping me put together a fundraiser/ #longcovidsucks
And #longcovidisreal. We are trying to come up with ideas to he the word out. Everything I message on Social media i use my GoFundMe fundraiser link, and the # to get people to catch on. We have watched every documentary on YouTube and the internet we could find so we are educated about what is taking place with me. This is not going away. I don't want to see people die just because of ignorance. We have already lost people way to may people I such a short it. One thing that we did come across is that if you've ever had an autoimmune disease or some type of like sickness like a heart attack or meningitis you know something on that line when you catch covid for like the second time I'm not sure about the first time because I was so sick I couldn't remember but by the second time you're going to start mimicking those old illnesses as for me mine looks very similar to Ms or possibly fibromyalgia. Not to mention I've survived cancer three different times and I've developed a couple of tumors that we're not exactly sure if it's malignant or really what it is I'm really hoping it's just some kind of ghostly flare up from this stupid virus but I think y'all so much I really look forward to hearing some more from you feel free anytime to send me a message.

Have you tried looking into Marketplace Healthcare? The reason I was asking is they contacted me the other day and the gentleman told me that if I knew anyone else who needed any assistance to let you know I have his number and the reason I'm bringing this up is because the insurance that he got me set up on will cover covid clinics, I love it because you're able to choose alternative medicine it covers chiropractic physical therapy it covers all of it including aquatic physical therapy

Hello, first thank you for the advice about the Neurologist because in June I had tested positive for the 3 time and this time I can't get past it. I have lost my job and I am about to loose my everything. Including My mind. I could use some advice on what works for others. I live in a very very rural area in the northern part of Georgia and we don't have any resources for persons with Long Covid. I even went to different ER/hospitals and when I tries to talk about it they shut me up and said they don't deal with it because there isn't enough training. So they did CT Scan and blood work for cancer never even checked my Covid status. What doni so here? We do not have any resources for help in any way. No assistance nothing

You’re in the right place! I have had post covid about a year with covid created lung nodules, brain lesions, heart issues, pituitary gland decimated, and seem to have every symptom. My healthcare system and others Ive reached out to for post covid clinic treatment have not/unable to assist. Please read each area here pertaining to your symptoms/experiences and I assure you, you will find helpful info from others who really “know” what you need help with and can research best for you🙂. Hopefully inspires you and please just focus day by day with patience for yourself to recognize even small improvements and before you know it the light at the end of the tunnel is bigger and brighter!

It is real & people don’t get it I live in Scottsdale, AZ & the Mayo here has no long COVID program. There is one program here at Banner for long haul, but their locations are an hour away. Long haul damages our lives & no one seems to care. I have lost 22 pounds, cannot eat because I am so nauseous & cannot sleep. Have had 2 shots & 2 boosters & still got this. Am afraid to get the latest booster, as I am struggling through these long haul symptoms. Any suggestions on any sleeping medications, as some nights I cannot sleep at all? We need sleep to heal.
